About the EU Summit

 

In light of current global developments, a focus is increasingly being placed on European digital sovereignty. Together with further EU Member States, the governments of Germany and France are working to strengthen Europe’s digital sovereignty. For this purpose, the Summit on European Digital Sovereignty took place on the EUREF-Campus Berlin on 18 November 2025. The aim of the European Digital Summit is to further develop key aspects of an independent, secure and innovation-friendly digital future for Europe.

Political decision-makers and representatives of business, academia and civil society came together at the Summit. Together, we discussed European responses to global digital challenges. The focus was also on artificial intelligence, startups and cloud and data issues.
