Federal Minister Karsten Wildberger heads the Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS). In this role, he is assisted by a state secretary with civil servant status.
The three of them oversee the directorates-general and divisions of the BMDS, as well as the ministry’s executive agencies. The ministry’s leadership team also includes the parliamentary state secretaries, who help the minister with his political tasks.
